Dawkins: In other words...

Stephen has posted a link to an excellent article on Richard Dawkins.   The author, Ruth Gledhill, rather than assault Dawkins on points wherein they differ, instead, attempts to build bridges of common ground.  The result was incredible!  This article should be canonized.

That said, now that I've had a few minutes to digest some of Dawkins' comments, I'm wondering if his atheism is more a matter of semantics than conviction.  The article is aptly named.

That is a real good article.

But if she would have called transcendance "Conscious sensations" instead I think she and Dawkins would have had an even greater meeting of the minds.

So much mis-understanding in metaphysics arises from using imprecise terms ... including the word "God".
